I swear the refs had it in for us.
So, we went to Super LAX Tournament thing today, for those of you who didn't know, and we had two games. So, we are like, the worst team in existance, and we stink. So the first game was against one of the best teams in the state. And, predictably, we lost. 12-00. How sad is that? And the refs kept calling all these stupid things, but only on our team. LIke, one was where one of ours was guarding someone else, and when her defense stepped backwards, she moved so she wouldn't get fouled for tripping. And someone on the other team was standing right behind her. She ran into the girl behind her and was fouled for guarding. Geeez!!
The second game was even worse. We were playing a team we had nearly beaten last year. We were all psyched up for winning and all happy and sun-crazy because it was warm in Charlotte. So we go out otplay and the refs call us for something EVERY TIME WE GOT THE !@#$% BALL!!!! And it was things the other ref couldn't veto, because we really did them. But, the thing is, the other team was doing them too. Like, ten times worse though. My favorite was where Paulina got called for pushing, when she was the one getting run over. And, about halftime, we learned that one of the refs, the one who was calling us for everything, was a player on the other team years ago. How !@#$% biased is that? And then we ran out of time before I got to play because Jess had filled up my position like, thirty seconds before she realized I hadn't been in. And I got sunburn on the backs of my knees.
